We care about your privacy. This policy explains in simple terms how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the TouriX app and our services.

Information we collect

We collect information that helps us provide and improve the app:

Account information – such as your name, email, and profile details when you register or sign in (including via Google or Apple if you choose).
Content you create – posts, photos, comments, and messages you send in the app.
Usage information – how you use the app (e.g. features you use, general usage data) to improve the service and fix issues.
Device information – device type and operating system, app version, and similar technical data needed to run the app.
Location – only when you allow it, to provide maps, navigation, and nearby recommendations. You can turn this off anytime in your device settings.
Payment-related information – purchases are handled by the app store (Apple/Google) or other payment providers. We do not store your full payment card details.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

Provide the app (account, content, maps, bookings, and other features).
Personalize your experience and improve the service.
Send you important updates and, with your consent, marketing or notifications.
Keep the service secure and prevent misuse.
Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties for their marketing.

We may share your information with service providers who help us operate the app (e.g. hosting, maps, notifications). We require them to protect your data and use it only for the purposes we specify. We may also share information when required by law or to protect rights and safety.

Your rights and choices

You can:

Access and update your profile and account details in the app.
Delete your account in the app settings (see below for full deletion of your information).
Turn off location or other permissions in your device settings.
Contact us to request access to your data, ask for correction or deletion, or raise a concern.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK, you also have the right to object to certain processing, restrict processing, and lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.

Deletion of your information

You can delete your account at any time in the app: go to Profile → Settings → Personal details, then scroll to Account deletion. This will start the process of removing your account and associated data from our systems.

If you want to ensure all of your information is deleted (including any backup or retained data), or if you cannot use the in-app option, contact us at the details below. We will follow our deletion procedure and remove your data within the timeframe required by applicable law (typically within 30 days). We may keep certain information longer only when we must by law (e.g. for legal claims or accounting).

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and for a limited time after you delete it when required by law or for legitimate purposes (e.g. resolving disputes).

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption and secure systems. No method is 100% secure; we encourage you to keep your account credentials safe.

Children

The app is not intended for children below the minimum age in your country (e.g. 13 in the US). We do not knowingly collect data from such users. If you believe we have, please contact us so we can delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here and update the "Last updated" date. For important changes, we may notify you in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
